The movie tried to portray how a life of a typical hacker would be withthe usual suspects: a migrant who is rationally sleeping till a turningpoint in his family's life pops us which is generally related tofinance. The usual suspects suddenly decides to awaken his sleepingcyborg and decides to be utilitarian just to end up in an existentialcircle. Also, it doesn't really reflect the mind of a hacker but rathera mind of someone who wants to get rich and regret later. Most of thehackers fight for a cause and they wouldn't back up. There are scenesin the movie that depict a hacker as being someone who rushes in hisdecisions and is not proactive about what would happen and does notassess the current situation on the spot in which the movie failed togive a close-to-reality snap on how a hacker react and assess a risk.

This is an astonishingly bad film. The acting is adequate but somewhattwo dimensional while the characterisations and scripting are stupidlycaricature-like.
When they talk about visiting a website called The Dark Web as thoughthey are using the actual dark web (peer to peer technology) is when Ireally gave up. They even refer to someone as The Head of the Dark Web!Basically this film is nothing but propaganda and disinformation and isclearly against privacy laws and anonymity. It is exactly the oppositeof what one would expect from a film with this title if it had beenmade by people with an interest in telling a story that has some basisin reality. It is cartoon-ish to say the very least.
For any real hackers (aspiring hackers, hacktivists, otherwisecriminally engaged computer wizards, or simply people in general whoknow their stuff) it's probably best not to touch this movie... but topeople who hardly know anything about the world of hacking, who canenjoy a lower tier "morally justified" heist movie, it might workpretty well.
That said, the plot is dull. Really dull. Perhaps not so much the plotitself, but rather the execution of it. It's pretty obvious (from thenarration, the cast) that this movie was meant to piggyback on thehype-train of Mr. Robot. Whereas Mr. Robot actually goes into detailpretty accurately, there's hardly ANY hacking going on in this movie atall. It's just a bunch of scammer kids, with a very infantile approachto the hacking phenomenon. A mash-up of jargon, combined with reallypoor dialogues and acting skills in general. A "hacker" that isn'tfamiliar with the Dark Web or Onion? I mean, really?
Apart from that, it has a nice pace with just enough going on, tomaintain a certain entertainment value that made me watch it through tothe end. I'm glad that I did, 'cause it has a nice twist at the end...albeit pretty far fetched.
